<strong>We</strong> <strong>hold</strong> these truths to be self-evident, that all<br />

men are created equal, that they are endowed<br />

by their Creator with certain unalienable<br />

rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and<br />

the pursuit <strong>of</strong> Happiness.<br />

That to secure these rights, Governments are<br />

instituted among Men, deriving their just<br />

powers from the consent <strong>of</strong> the Governed,<br />

That whenever any Form <strong>of</strong> Government<br />

becomes destructive <strong>of</strong> these ends, it is the<br />

Right <strong>of</strong> the People to alter or to abolish it, and<br />

to institute new Government, laying its<br />

foundation on such principles, and organizing<br />

its powers in such form as to them shall seem<br />

most likely to effect their Safety and<br />

Article 1<br />

All human beings are born free and equal in<br />

dignity and rights. They are endowed with<br />

reason and conscience and should act towards<br />

one another in a spirit <strong>of</strong> brotherhood.<br />

Article 2<br />

Everyone is entitled to all the rights and<br />

freedoms set forth in this <strong>Declaration</strong>, without<br />

distinction <strong>of</strong> any kind, such as race, colour,<br />

sex, language, religion, political or other<br />

opinion, national or social origin, property,<br />

birth or other status.

Menschenrechten als Grundlage jeder<br />

menschlichen Gemeinschaft, des Friedens und<br />

der Gerechtigkeit in der <strong>We</strong>lt.<br />

(3) Die nachfolgenden Grundrechte binden<br />

Gesetzgebung, vollziehende Gewalt und<br />

Rechtsprechung als unmittelbar geltendes<br />

Recht.
