of the Alaska Railroad in Anchorage and
wind through some of the most beautiful
scenery to be found along the railroad:
the scenic shores of Turnagain Arm, the
sparkling Placer River, massive Skookum
Glacier and Chugach National Forest.

Motorcoach Transfer
Seward to/from Anchorage
Relax as you travel the fabled Seward
Highway via motorcoach. You’ll travel
between the port of Seward and
cosmopolitan Anchorage, experiencing
the lush forests of the Chugach
Mountains and scenic Turnagain Arm
along the way.

Portage Lake & Anchorage
Sightseeing to/from Seward
Transfer from your ship in Seward to
Portage Lake for a spectacular one-hour
cruise to Portage Glacier aboard
the mv Ptarmigan and cruise within
300 yards of the glacier. Continue on
to Anchorage, and see some of the
historical points of interest. Visit
the 25-acre Alaska Native Heritage
Center, displaying several interactive
exhibits developed in recognition
of and tribute to the distinct culture
of the Alaskan people.

Add a night in Anchorage and include
a 7-hour Portage Glacier tour. Travel
the Seward Highway to Portage Lake.
Board the mv Ptarmigan for a one-hour
cruise across the lake to Portage Glacier.
Return to Anchorage for your
overnight accommodations.

marine wildlife — Kenai Fjords National
Park. This intimate six-hour daylight
cruise provides maximum opportunity
for seeing whales, sea lions and otters,
a massive tidewater glacier, and the
stunning beauty of the glacially carved
cliffs of the park. After your cruise,
transfer to Anchorage.
