<strong>Niedersachsen</strong> Global 09<br />

The latest trends <strong>and</strong> innovations, future-oriented technologies <strong>and</strong> automotive world<br />
premières – the IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair, the world’s leading trade fair <strong>for</strong><br />
mobility, transportation <strong>and</strong> logistics <strong>and</strong> the IZB, Europe’s leading trade fair <strong>for</strong> the automotive<br />
supplier industry, will present the latest developments in the automotive sector in<br />
autumn 2012. The global players of the car industry will come together in <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>.<br />
The motto of the 64th IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair in Hanover is “Commercial<br />
Vehicles: Driving the Future.” According to Matthias Wissmann, President of the<br />
German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), “The motto reflects the huge<br />
innovative spirit of the sector <strong>and</strong> the high efficiency of the commercial vehicle. The<br />
‘engines of the future’, such as new <strong>and</strong> cleaner Euro-VI aggregates will be exhibited at<br />
the IAA. In Hanover there will be exciting world premières to witness. We are expecting<br />
new proposals <strong>for</strong> the optimisation of aerodynamics <strong>and</strong> we will see <strong>for</strong> ourselves the<br />
progress that has been made in alternative commercial vehicle drive concepts from natural<br />
gas <strong>and</strong> hybrid through hydrogen to electromobility. Innovations <strong>for</strong> even more safety<br />
will also be presented. This IAA Commercial Vehicles will have even more exhibitors <strong>and</strong><br />
surface area than the successful IAA 2010.” There are also many <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>-based<br />
companies that take advantage of the international plat<strong>for</strong>m to present their innovations<br />
<strong>and</strong> products at the IAA.<br />
Bernard Krone, Managing Director of Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone GmbH says<br />
“This is where all manufacturers from the entire sector come together – from trailer<br />
producers through motor vehicle manufacturers to the supplier industry. This means<br />
that all skilled partners involved with commercial vehicles really are represented at IAA<br />
