The IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair in Hanover<br />
“Commercial Vehicles are the backbone of modern industrial societies. In Europe commercial<br />
vehicles account <strong>for</strong> about three-quarters of total freight traffic <strong>and</strong> all other modes of transport<br />
including inl<strong>and</strong> water vessels, aircraft <strong>and</strong> the railways are dependent on HGVs. Modern commercial<br />
vehicles make sure supermarket shelves are filled <strong>and</strong> ensure the delivery of goods ordered<br />
by internet to the consumer. The commercial vehicle remains irreplaceable,” stresses Matthias<br />
Wissmann, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), which organises<br />
the IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair every two years in Hanover.
