Heller-Leder GmbH & Co. KG in Hehlen produces leather
for automotive companies such as Porsche. Chair and office
furniture manufacturers such as Cor, Rolf Benz, Wilkhahn
and Vitra also benefit from the fine quality materials from
Hehlen, where the entire production process takes place,
starting from the raw untreated delivered hides through to the
high-quality final product. The company’s own waste water
treatment plant ensures the highest environmental standards.
This traditional company founded in 1920 is now being managed
by the fourth generation of the family. 180 people are
employed in Hehlen. The company supplies partner companies
and direct customers in the USA, China and in many
other European companies.
Ge:Net GmbH based in Clausthal-Zellerfeld is active
in the trendsetting sector of renewable energies.
The company manufactures and delivers worldwide
turnkey wind measuring systems for the wind energy
sector. These include masts, measuring systems,
assembly and maintenance. Company owner and
Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Carsten Ropeter can now
look back on ten years experience and more than
270 constructed measuring masts. Ge:Net employs
23 people in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The products provide
data on the economic efficiency of wind parks.
