Innovative <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>!<br />
Visionary <strong>for</strong>ce is one of the strongest economic drivers. <strong>Niedersachsen</strong> has always<br />
lived by this <strong>for</strong>ce <strong>and</strong> with the absolute determination to find new answers to the<br />
urgent questions of our age. Our aim is to set innovative trends <strong>for</strong> the future which<br />
have international appeal. <strong>Niedersachsen</strong> is already well-known <strong>for</strong> this <strong>and</strong> this is why<br />
we are sticking to the same course.<br />
The future-oriented sector of wind technology has its roots on <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>’s<br />
North Sea coast. Back in the early 1990s <strong>Niedersachsen</strong> committed to wind energy,<br />
assumed a pioneering role in this sector <strong>and</strong> today manufacturers from across the<br />
world purchase wind power components <strong>and</strong> systems “Made in Germany”. Worldwide<br />
Germany lies in third place in terms of wind power installations. This is a success story<br />
that we can also recount about other industrial sectors in <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>.<br />
For instance the chemicals industry in North Germany has excellent credentials.<br />
“stade-project 2021” <strong>and</strong> “Deltal<strong>and</strong>” are two development projects which are providing<br />
further growth prospects <strong>for</strong> the locations of Stade <strong>and</strong> Bomlitz in <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>.<br />
International chemicals groups including Dow, Honeywell <strong>and</strong> Ineos are very well<br />
positioned in <strong>Niedersachsen</strong> <strong>and</strong> are also supported by an excellent infrastructure.<br />
Innovations <strong>and</strong> activities from these <strong>and</strong> other economic sectors are clear<br />
demonstrations of the desirability of <strong>Niedersachsen</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>for</strong>eign direct <strong>investment</strong>s.<br />
In September the international automotive sector will come together in Hanover <strong>for</strong><br />
the IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair <strong>and</strong> in October <strong>for</strong> the International Suppliers<br />
Fair in Wolfsburg, both of which are leading international trade shows <strong>for</strong> mobility,<br />
transportation <strong>and</strong> logistics. The latest trends <strong>and</strong> innovations, future-oriented technologies<br />
<strong>and</strong> automotive world premières await you this autumn in <strong>Niedersachsen</strong>.<br />
