Sammode Lichttechnik: Rugged lighting tubes for use
in inspection pits and for process lighting
The NIEPCE 70 FV lighting tube from Sammode is ideal for use in inspection
pits where space is limited. The housing is made of co-extruded
polycarbonate/methacrylate, combining the mechanical robustness
of polycarbonate with the resistance of methacrylate to grease
and oil. These lights also incorporate a new optical design, directly
lighting underneath the cars and indirectly lighting the floor without
dazzling. Together with the materials used, the system for sealing
the lights ensures compliance with IP68. Sammode has designed the
KELVIN 100 MO HT for process lighting and exposure to high temperatures.
Equipped with a compact fluorescent tube, it is available in
three lengths: 357, 436 and 519 millimetres. It combines a high light
output and compact dimensions. Its new coextruded housing made
of polycarbonate/methacrylate makes it resistant to various cleaning
agents and hydrocarbons such as cutting oil and lubricants.

KELVIN 100 MO HT light for process lighting
Schaltbau: Plug-in connectors for reliable
data transmission
Schaltbau GmbH is presenting its UIC558 IT plug-in connector for railway
use for the first time at InnoTrans 2012. It is used as an interface
connector for the reliable transmission of data in flexible links between
carriages and locomotives. It has been designed to meet very
high specifications, for example for video monitoring, passenger information
systems, automatic passenger counting systems, voice control
and diagnostic functions. The new UIC558 IT series is equipped with
an eight pin ethernet module and 16 24-volt signal contacts. The Ethernet
module permits transmission rates of up to ten gigabits. This enables
it to satisfy the requirements of Cat5, Cat6 and 6a, which are suitable
for frequencies of up to 250 MHz and are used for voice and data
transmission. Depending on the specific requirements and the areas
in which it is deployed, a number of different connecting cables suitable
for railway use are available. The new UIC558 IT series has been
successfully used in a railway pilot project for over one and half years
and complies with all the relevant railway standards.
