RPM Group: High performance compression device
for continuous operation
PMA-1M from the RPM Group is an automated high performance compression
device, designed for continuous operation, for the cyclical
compression of two sleepers while the rail track is being simultaneously
and continuously raised. It has been designed for straightening
sections of track while repair work is in progress. This machine can
displace a section of track by up to 450 millimetres, which is significantly
more than can be achieved by other manufacturers’ machinery,
the exhibitor emphasises. A comparison reveals that, in terms
of precision and performance, the PMA-1M is among the best on the
market anywhere in the world, and this would be confirmed by tests
and by the practical experience gained with this technology. The
system is equipped with some exceptional sliding and compression
components which are digitally controlled. The use of new rail sensors
which have been developed in-house prevents any interruption
when the lifting and coating units encounter rail joints.
SAB Bröckskes:
Halogen-free, flame-inhibiting and self-extinguishing
SAB Bröckskes manufacturer of halogen-free ethernet and gigabitethernet
cables for use with railway technology has expanded its
SABIX Rail product range to include the “SABIX R 660 CAT 5e” and
“SABIX R 691 CAT 6”. With its new CAT 5e and CAT 6 ethernet cables
the exhibitor has expanded its product portfolio for rail vehicle technology
to include additional cables for use on the railways. “SABIX R
660 CAT 5e 2x2x22 AWG” and “SABIX R 691 CAT 6 4x2x26 AWG” satisfy
the fire safety standard DIN 5510. Following tests to determine their resistance
to conducting fire, smoke gas density and toxicity, the company
has now expanded its range to include ethernet cables for railway
use that have been granted certification by an external agency.
Ethernet and/or gigabit ethernet networks in rail vehicles are just some
of the applications for these new types. This applies in particular to the
installation of passenger information systems, monitoring equipment
and e-ticketing systems. Moreover, according to the manufacturer, the
SABIX Rail range of cables meets the highest fire safety standards.
