FLACO-Geräte:
Ready-to-use tank container
The first ready-to-use FLACO tank containers for refuelling diesel locomotives
with AdBlue have been in operation since mid-2012. These
TCI tank containers for Aus32 are available with a capacity of between
2,000 and 10,000 litres. The manufacturer can supply the TCIs
to meet customers’ technical specifications. A selection of price
calculators with numerous protocols are available for connection
to different point of sale systems. The fuel pump can be fitted to the
left or right or on the front. To facilitate installation at the filling station
a supporting frame has been developed for all TCI models, making
it possible to compensate for small uneven surfaces as well as
large differences in height. During assembly the TCI containers are
connected to the available power supply and a data connection is
established with the unattended fuel pump or point of sale system.
The slim design of the TCI containers means that they can often be
installed directly on the platform.
Forbo Flooring Systems:
Flooring system
with wood-look
The new wood-look Artoleum Striato flooring has been designed to
meet all the requirements imposed by railways. It is being used currently
in a refurbishment project in the Netherlands for the country’s
main passenger railway operator. The company has worked closely
with this client to develop a flame retardant version of Artoleum Striato
suitable for use in railway carriages. Sustainability, product durability
and ease of cleaning were key criteria for this flooring. Another
outstanding floor covering for use on trains is the textile product
Flotex FR. It looks and feels like a carpet but its fibres point upwards
to facilitate cleaning. Flotex FR has a soft, velour-like surface which
is pleasant to walk on but very hard-wearing. The high definition digital
printing gives an impression of exceptional depth and this, combined
with its structure, creates an almost three-dimensional effect,
offering a wide range of design possibilities.
