Ready-to-use surface cleaner for railways and buses
DR.SCHNELL Chemie has developed NOVO PEN-OFF, a ready-to-use
product for cleaning the internal surfaces of trains and buses. It removes
many kinds of dirt and stains from solvent-resistant surfaces,
and can be used on plastic, metal, glass, carpets and upholstery. It
deals equally effectively with felt pen and ball pen marks as well as
the residues from endorsing ink, labels, and coffee or wine stains.
NOVO PEN-OFF can also be used to clean headrests and to remove
water-soluble stains left by drinks, creams and make-up. This product
is available in a 500 millilitre spray bottle and does not leave
any streaks or residues, and the surface does not require wiping afterwards.
This surface cleaner does not contain any ingredients requiring
labeling, is non-absorbent and has a pleasant citrus scent.
NOVO PEN-OFF wipes are intended for quick cleaning by people on
the move. The manufacturers point out that the NOVO PEN-OFF is
eco-friendly, not hazardous to health and does not affect the materials
to which it is applied.

duagon: Innovative all-in-one solution
The high performance train control system ioniaTM from duagon offers
a compact, easy and comprehensive solution for MVB, WTB, ETH
and CAN. All communication and control elements can be easily integrated
in the robust, stainless steel housing, which has a height of
just 100 millimetres, a depth of 120 millimetres and a variable length,
for example 224 millimetres by 144 IO. The input and output device
is simple to configure to meet customers’ requirements and is provided
with up to 23 modules covering the entire duagon portfolio,
including WTB and Switch. Fully customised ioniaTM solutions are
also available. The TCMS core comprises a high performance CPU
unit which can also process highly complex applications in real time.
Programming, with a simple graphic and text editor, is user-friendly,
and ioniaTM reduced downtimes and maintenance times as well as
cutting overall operating costs. The system provides numerous debugging,
diagnostic and monitoring options via ethernet and USB –
and also from any location via WLAN and tablets.
