Multifunctional Terminal with an AMD Fusion processor
With the DEUTA Multifunctional Terminal MFT 111 an
AMD Fusion processor has made its way into cab consoles
for the first time, says this exhibitor. With its high
performance and high-end technology the MFT 111 is the
ideal hardware basis for complex video and graphics applications.
The outstanding features of the new DEUTA
Multifunctional Terminal are a minimum number of components
and connectors, all on one circuit board, and
low performance losses. The manufacturer has made it
possible for individual configurations to be put to rapid
and reliable use and for the excellent MTBF field data
values to actually be exceeded. The compact housing
of the Multifunctional Terminal also fits into confined
spaces. When equipped with the optional IconTrust®
the MFT 111 becomes an SIL Terminal MFT S111 which
offers a maximum degree of safety.
German Aerospace Centre (DLR):
1-to-1 mock-up of a centre coach section
Scientists and engineers are working together in the twelve institutes
that make up the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) to help make
the railways more competitive. Their efforts are focused on developing
concepts for the next generation of trains and to improve the rail
transport management system. In its display at InnoTrans 2012 the
DLR will be demonstrating new ways of constructing double-deck
rail vehicles, using a one-to-one mock-up of a centre section coach.
The team on the booth will be providing information about a unique
installation designed to investigate the aerodynamics of high speed
trains in tunnels as a way of avoiding compression shock and to protect
passengers against excessive differences in pressure. With its
Railonomics © tool the DLR will be demonstrating improved ways of making
the right economic and operational investment decisions for infrastructure.
Another aspect concerns the potential of RailSiTe © , the
only accredited German testing laboratory for providing official proof
of ETCS compliance.
