pay in his proper person 40s. at the bench board about the time
of middle dinner, and shall enter into bond in the sum of 20/i, with
the treasurer and four ancients of the bench with a condition that he
will not at any time owe above 40s. for his duties. And no fellow
shall make a petition to the bench till he be discharged from all
sums owing for duties.
Order that if any fellow, after the end of the next parliament,
shall owe for commons above the sum of 26s. Sd. he shall ipso facto
be out of commons and the steward shall signify the same to the
bench, his name being also set upon the screen in the hall. And if
any fellow owe 4os. or above for four months, after demand by the
treasurer, he shall be ipso facto out of the House, and his name be set
upon the screen in the hall. And the head butler shall enter the same
names in a book.

To another company of players, which
were appointed to play here the same

For a dozen torches for the revels in
Michaelmas term, 1612, los.
To Beadle, of Glaziers' Hall, " to lay the
glaziers for two casements" which were
stolen out of the hall, 2 S.
To Sir Daniel Dunne, for our part, for
preferring the answer of the King's letter
which he wrote to both Houses in the
behalf of Mr. Sympsonne, 405.
For six torches, for the benchers to see the
mask at Ely House, 55.
For two torches, another time, to go to
Gray's Inn, 23'.
To Palmer, the smith, for making a new
key for the chest in the church, where
the new patent lieth, 35. 4d.
For binding up the ninth part of my Lord
Cooke's Reports in pasteboard, 18d.
To Mr. Crashawe's man, for carrying the
books to Mr. Treasurer's chamber,
which Mr. Crashawe gave to the House,
6s. 8d.
To a woman, for keeping Mr. Lea, of the
bar, in his sickness, 4s. 6d.
To the joiner, for raising the minister's
seat in the church, and making a new
desk for the same, and other work belonging
thereunto, whereof we pay one
half, which is, 5s. 7d.
