<strong>PLUS</strong> INTRODUCES SMART APPLICATION FOR<br />
TRAFFIC INFORMATION DISSEMINATION<br />

<strong>PLUS</strong> Malaysia Berhad (<strong>PLUS</strong>) recently introduced ‘<strong>PLUS</strong><br />
Mobile Apps’, a smart application which enables the<br />
highway operator to disseminate latest highway traffic<br />
information directly to highway users with smartphones<br />
or tablets.<br />
According to <strong>PLUS</strong> Managing Director, Dato’ Noorizah<br />
Hj Abd Hamid, “The smart application enables us to<br />
distribute real-time traffic information on all our highways<br />
directly to highway users’ smartphones or tablets. This is<br />
part of our initiatives to ensure highway users receive the<br />
latest traffic information faster, easier and accurately.”<br />

In short, the ‘<strong>PLUS</strong> Mobile Apps’ is a one-stop application<br />
which notifies highway users of the latest traffic updates<br />
such as accidents, traffic congestions, road maintenance<br />
works and others directly to their mobile gadgets. It also<br />
offers highway users a toll fare calculator, current traffic<br />
images at selected highway stretches and rest areas,<br />
facilities, locations of service stations, ATMs and interactive<br />
highway maps.<br />
The application also enables <strong>PLUS</strong>Miles cardholders to<br />
register their cards through the <strong>PLUS</strong>Miles portal and<br />
check for toll rebates and reward points.<br />
“The <strong>PLUS</strong> Mobile application gives an added value to<br />
the <strong>PLUS</strong> highway service,” said Noorizah.<br />
She was quoted at a media briefing on the <strong>PLUS</strong> Mobile<br />
application and the company’s preparations in view of<br />
the expected traffic increase during the Chinese New<br />
Year holidays at Persada <strong>PLUS</strong>, recently.<br />
The ‘<strong>PLUS</strong> Mobile Apps’ can be downloaded for free by<br />
highway users through their smartphones or tablets. The<br />
application enables highway users to receive latest traffic<br />
updates directly through their smartphones and tablets,<br />
and at the same time, help them to plan their journey on<br />
the highways.<br />
“The application can be downloaded through the ‘App<br />
Store’ for iPhone/iPad users or ‘Google Play Store’ for<br />
users with Android gadgets,” Noorizah added.<br />
The new application is an addition to the existing <strong>PLUS</strong><br />
traffic communication channels which include electronic<br />
