Torque transducers and joint simulator kits
ROTARY TRANSDUCERS
Rotary transducers are used mainly to control dynamic torque
reached during fastening operations performed with
mechanical or hand tools. With appropriate joint simulators
recommended by Ingersoll-Rand, they can also be used in
laboratories and workshops.
STATIONARY TRANSDUCERS
Joint simulator JKR
JKST set
Stationary transducers are used both in workshop as well as on assembly line. They allow quick
check of the torque set of a power or hand tool.
For power tool verification they are usually used with an appropriate joint simulator. The simulator
joint rate can be changed to emulate different joint conditions from hard to soft. Transducer with
joint simulator kits are very useful in tool cribs to preset power tools for production and test power
tool capability under different joint rate.
ETW Expert Torque Wrenches – Auditor & Expert
ETW Auditor allows dynamic residual
torque measurement , by capturing the torque
after the fastener was moved and rotated a preset,
small angle, usually 2°-4°, adjustable up to
20°.
This algorithm ignores the static peak torque
required to start the fastener moving in the
tightening direction, and effectively removes
the operator error from the process.
Torque is applied until the static friction is overcome
and forward breakaway occurs, causing the fastener
to rotate. At this point, the torque usually drops as
the friction changes from static friction to dynamic
friction.
Two modes, normal for use as an electronic
torque wrench and instant for use as a torque
audit wrench.
Stores data from last 200 cycles.
