Subject:-Recruitment to the posts of Senior Resident and Junior Residents on short
term Ad-hoc and emergent basis in Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital,GNCTD,
Pitampura, Delhi-34.
Walk in interview will be held on 07/10/13 at 10.00A.M. in the office of the
Medical Superintendent for selection / appointment of Senior Residents ( Obs. & Gynae
– 02 post), (Anesth-02 posts) & Junior Residents – 03 posts on an emergent and purely on
ad-hoc basis for a period of 89 days or till regular incumbents joins against these posts,
whichever is earlier. However, the number of posts may vary and vacancies may be filled in
phases..
Educational Qualifications:-For Senior Residents: - MBBS Degree from recognized university
with P.G. qualification/Diploma in concerned specialty. If such candidates are not available in any
particular speciality, others without post-graduate qualification may be considered in 2 nd list
Registration of P.G./Diploma in concerned speciality with Delhi Medical Council is
Compulsory.
For J.Rs - MBBS Degree from recognized university with internship completion certificate.
The internship should not be completed before 07/10/2011. However, candidates who have
completed their internship before the stipulated date may be considered for 2 nd list.
Registration with Delhi Medical Council is Compulsory.
Age Limit:- For SRs -35 years for Gen, 40 years for SC/ST and 38 years for OBC candidates (as
on 31/10/2013)
For JRs: 30 years for Gen. , 35 years for SC/ST and 33 years for OBC candidates (as on
31/10/2013)
Relaxations for - Physically Handicapped
For SRs: 40 years for Gen, 45 years for SC/ST and 43 years for OBC Candidates
and for Ex-Servicemen – as per Norms
For JRs: 35 years for Gen, 40 years for SC/ST and 38 years for OBC
Candidates and for Ex-Servicemen – as per Norms
Emoluments:-
For S.R. Rs.18, 750/ + GP-6600/-+usual admissible allowances per month.
For J.R. Rs.15, 600/ + GP-5400/-+usual admissible allowances per month.
Candidates must bring photograph and a set of attested copies of all the certificates along with
their originals for verification at the time of interview.
For appearing in the interview, candidates shall not be paid any TA/DA by this office.
Note: - In case of non availability of candidates, as per the relevant scheme mentioned above,
candidates may be considered in terms of the relaxation of provision circulated as per Circular No:
F.121/26/2010/H&FW/1996-2045 dt. 10.6.11 of Deptt. of H & F.W, GNCT of Delhi with the following
relaxations:

(For Sr. Residents)
1. Upper age limit for eligibility under relaxation will be 40 years.
2. In the specialities where there is perpetual shortage like Anesthesia and Radiology etc. or
in specialities where no fresh candidates are available, candidates who have completed 03
years of Sr. Residency may also be allowed to appear in the interview.
3. Separate merit lists for fresh candidates and for other (those who have completed 03
years of Sr. Residency already) would be prepared.
4. Firstly, the list containing the name of fresh candidates would be exhausted for
appointment as Sr. Residents and second list would be used only after that.
5. All Senior Residents appointments from second list will be for one year only. It would
not be renewable after one year.
(For Jr. Residents)
1. Upper age limit for eligibility under relaxation will be 40 years.
2. Post Graduate doctors who are interested to serve as Jr. Residents will be allowed to join
as Jr. Residents if fresh graduates are not available.
3. Jr. Residents who have completed one year of JRship may be allowed to again appear for
interview for selection and will be offered residency only if no fresh Jr. Residents are
available. There would be no extension for any Jr. Resident beyond one year of
appointment under relaxed provisions.
REPORTING TIME FOR INTERVIEW:-9.30 A.M.to 11.30 A.M. in the Conference Hall,
B.M.Hospital.
