Orkestern ger även egna abonnemangskonserter och
turnerar över hela världen, samt samarbetar kontinuerligt med
framstående artister som René Jacobs och Andreas Staier. De
många CD-produktionerna har resulterat i flera utmärkelser,
senast ECHO Classical Music Award 2012 och Gramophone
Award 2011.
Gottfried von der Goltz har skapat sig ett namn som internationellt
respekterad barockviolinist och konstnärlig ledare
för Freiburger Barockorchester. Precis som var brukligt under
1700-talet leder han FBO från konsertmästarens pult. För utom
sina många kammarmusikaliska engagemang är Gottfried von
der Goltz även konstnärlig ledare för Norsk Barokkorkester och
en uppskattad lärare i barock- och modern violin vid Musikhögskolan
i Freiburg.
För Petra Müllejans är spontanitet och känslor omistliga delar av
ett historiskt väl underbyggt framförande som vill kommunicera
gångna århundradens musik på ett engagerande och livligt sätt.
Som konstnärlig ledare för Freiburger Barockorchester är hon
främst intresserad av barock och klassicistisk musik. Verkens
teatrala kvaliteter, deras retoriska och framför allt dramatiska
uttrycksfullhet är särskilt betydelsefulla för henne. Hon undervisar
även i barockviolin vid Högskolan för musik och scenkonst
i Frankfurt-am-Main.
In its jubilee season 2012/13, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra
(FBO) can look back on an unprecedented twenty-five year history
of success. From its student beginnings, within a few years an internationally
sought-after orchestra was created, a regular guest in the
most important concert halls and opera houses. The FBO’s special
sound is frequently praised, as is the variety of its repertoire – from
early Baroque to the present. The ensemble takes this sound from
Freiburg to its European neighbours, to North and South America, to
Asia and even to Australia and New Zealand.
Under the artistic directorship of its two concertmasters Gottfried
von der Goltz and Petra Müllejans, and under the baton of selected
conductors, the FBO presents about one hundred performances per
year in a variety of formations from chamber to opera orchestra,
through subscription concerts of its own as well as tours all over the
world. The orchestra also continuously collaborates with prominent
artists such as René Jacobs and Andreas Staier. Its many CD productions
have resulted in the receipt of several awards, such as the
recent ECHO Classical Music Award 2012, and the Gramophone
Award 2011.
gottfried von der goltz has made a respected international name for
himself as a Baroque violinist and Artistic Director of the Freiburg
Baroque Orchestra. As was common during the 18th century, he
leads the FBO from the platform of the concertmaster. In addition
to his many chamber music engagements, Gottfried von der Goltz is
Artistic Director of the Norsk Barokkorkester and a popular teacher
of Baroque and modern violin at the College of Music in Freiburg.
For petra Müllejans, spontaneity and emotion are inseparable
components of a historically informed performance aiming at the
engaging and lively communication of the music of past centuries.
As Artistic Director of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, she is mainly
interested in Baroque and classical music. The theatrical qualities of
the works, their rhetorical and above all dramatic expressiveness are
especially important to her. She also teaches at the College of Music
and Performing Arts in Frankfurt-am-Main.
