Volunteerism: Volunteers are at the
heart of the YMCA and that is why the
YMCA is at the heart of the community.
When you are a volunteer at the YMCA,
you are a part of a not-for-profit
organization with a vision of building
strong kids, strong families and strong
communities.
Your time and talent will help create a
safe, healthy and caring environment
that will nurture people of all ages and
backgrounds, helping them to become
successful members of our community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
• Special Events (Healthy Kid’s Day,
Trick or Treat Trail, 4th of July Event,
Frontier’s Day, Open House, Health
Fairs, etc)
• Fund raising
• Program enhancement
• Workshops & Lectures
• And much more
All volunteers must pass a background
check, teen volunteers (13-17 years) must
pass a screening process. All volunteers
must meet with the program’s director
in order to volunteer at the YMCA.

Partners Campaign: Our commitment to
living our charitable mission each and
every day keeps us strong and focused.
Although grounded in our historical
values, the YMCA continues to search for
and collaborate on new solutions to our
communities’ changing needs.
Funds raised in our Partners Campaign
help children and families participate
in values-based programs and events
such as child care, teen leadership,
older adult programming, community
service projects and aquatics. Now more
than ever, children and families need
the YMCA’s innovative programs and
services.
What’s more, all monies raised in
our Partners Campaign stays in the
Alvin-Manvel area and surrounding
