Membership to the YMCA: Anyone can
join the YMCA. The YMCA has always
been a great fit for everyone and their
family. Now, it’s also a great fit for every
budget.
Our membership types are based
on household types. We have no
contracts to sign, a 30-day money-back
guarantee on your joining fee, and an
AWAY program, in which you can use
your Houston membership at other
participating YMCAs across the country.

AWAY Members: Always Welcome At
YMCA’s, or the AWAY program, is one
that gives YMCA members from outside
of the YMCA of Greater Houston service
area access to the Thelma Ley Anderson
Family YMCA facilities when they are
away from their home.
To the same effect, Houston members
are able to visit other YMCAs across the
country who participate in the AWAY
program as well. Whether you are on a
long vacation or a short visit, find the
nearest YMCA and have some fun.
Open Doors Scholarships: The YMCA
is community-based and believes that
its programs and services should be
available to everyone regardless of age,
background, ability or income. That’s
why the YMCA offers an OPEN DOORS
program, a sliding fee scale that strives
to fit your individual financial situation.
