Summer Programs
Day Camp: Through the use of natural
surroundings and under Christian support
and trained leadership, the Thelma Ley
Anderson Family YMCA seeks to help each
camper achieve his/her fullest potential
in terms of mental development, physical
well-being, social growth and spiritual
development. Day camp is a place where
kids can be kids. We provide a variety
of values driven activities such as arts
and crafts, devotions, group games, skits,
songs, swimming, weekly field trips and a
lot of FUN!
Camp Hours: 6:30am-6:30pm
Locations: YMCA (Alvin site) & Laura
Ingalls Wilder Elementary (Shadow Creek
Ranch site)
Ages: 5 (completed Kindergarten) -11
Facility Member: $105/ week
Program Member: $130/week
Teen Leadership Camp: YMCA Teen
Leadership Camp provides teens with
supervised activities that teach core
values, conflict resolution and leadership
skills. This summer, teen campers have
the opportunity to develop as leaders,
as they participate in service learning
projects in the community and lead
games and activities in our Day Camp
program. Teen Leadership Camp is
also about having fun; campers will
participate in fun and educational field
trips, group discussions, swimming,
group games and have the chance to
meet lifetime friends.

Program Member: $150/week
BUILDING ON A FOUNDATION
of over 100 years of swim instruction, the YMCA has
established the Y Water Wise water safety initiative.
This initiative has the aggressive goal of “Eliminating”
drownings through water safety education &
awareness, and by teaching swimming skills.
