<strong>Mechanics</strong> and Criteria <strong>for</strong> the 22 nd National Statistics Month<br />
<strong>Poster</strong> <strong>Making</strong>/<strong>Painting</strong> <strong>Contest</strong><br />
This <strong>Poster</strong> <strong>Making</strong>/<strong>Painting</strong> <strong>Contest</strong> is part of the 22 nd National Statistical Month (NSM). The<br />
opening ceremony <strong>for</strong> the 22 nd NSM will be on October 3, 2011.<br />
A. <strong>Mechanics</strong><br />
1. The 22 nd National Statistics Month (NSM) <strong>Poster</strong> <strong>Making</strong>/<strong>Painting</strong> <strong>Contest</strong> is<br />
open to all college students from the National Capital Region (NCR). Maximum<br />
of three (3) representatives per college/university will be accepted.<br />
2. All interested participants must pre-register using the <strong>for</strong>mat below:<br />
· Complete Name<br />
· Contact Numbers<br />

o landline:<br />
· Email Address<br />
· Complete Residential Address<br />
· Name of College/University<br />
· Year, Course/Major<br />
· School Address<br />

September 1, 2011.<br />
3. The theme <strong>for</strong> the poster making/painting contest shall be: “Quality Social<br />
Protection Statistics <strong>for</strong> Focused Targeting: Improving Outcomes, Changing<br />
Lives”.<br />
4. 18’ x 24’ drawing pads <strong>for</strong> the contest will be provided by the organizers. All<br />
other materials must be brought by the participants during the contest day.<br />
5. Materials allowed <strong>for</strong> the poster making/painting contest:<br />
- oil paints<br />
- water color<br />
6. All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed with in the<br />
allotted time of two and a half hours.<br />
7. All entries will be pre-numbered. No other identifying marks will be allowed to<br />
appear in the artworks.
8. All entries shall be judged by a Board of Judges composed of experts on the<br />
fields of statistics, social services, arts and the academe.<br />
9. The Prizes shall be:<br />
1 st Place – P25,000.00<br />
2 nd Place – P15,000.00<br />
3 rd Place – P10,000.00<br />
10. Winning and all other entries shall be the property of the organizers and may be<br />
used <strong>for</strong> other advocacy activities.<br />
11. <strong>Contest</strong> day shall be on September 3, 2011 (Saturday), 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at<br />
the DSWD Central Office Auditorium, DSWD Complex, IBP Road, Batasan<br />
Pambansa, Constitution Hills, Quezon City.<br />
12. Winners will be identified at the end of the activity. Awarding of winners shall be<br />
during the 22 nd NSM opening ceremony which shall be on October 3, 2011.<br />
B. Criteria <strong>for</strong> Judging<br />
All artworks will be judged based on the following criteria:<br />
· Relevance to the theme – 40%<br />
· Creativity and Presentation – 40%<br />
· Originality – 20%<br />
