PARK RULES
PETS:
Pets are not allowed at the parks. Please keep your
pets at home or we will ask you and your pet to leave.
BEVERAGES:
Alcoholic beverages & containers are not allowed at
the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking
lots. Glass containers or bottles of any kind are
prohibited. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or
anything fun is also not allowed on the fields. You are
required to keep all sports drink & beverages in bubba
kegs or thermos bottles. Clear or see through cups
are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo
cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be
asked to leave the premises immediately and may be
suspended for the remainder of the season. Your team
may suffer a game forfeit.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other
sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just
prior to or during the games. That means no tossing a
football around or kicking a soccer ball etc.

FIREWORKS:
Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are allowed on or
near our fields. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers,
Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think
of!
TRASH:
All trash must be picked up before leaving the field.
Trash cans are available throughout. In the event that
there are no trash cans, you must provide a bag for
your trash.
FACILITIES:
Porta Potties are located at the front of the field, please
use those to go to the restroom. Do not do your business
in bushes or in the open. You may get a ticket and
we may lose the permit to use the park
PARKING:
Players and visitors must park in marked or approved
spots. Just because we have a permit to be there does
not allow us to break the law. WAKA is not liable and
will not reimburse anyone for parking tickets or towing.

STING CONFERENCE
THE FOOT CLAN
Took down the Hustlers with ease and remain undefeated. They did lose one to injury and we all hope
for a speedy recovery. Is Foot Clan on their way to an undefeated season? They’ve got a target on their
backs, will someone take aim and fire?
WASIANS
Bounce back from last week’s loss with a win against SBTB. They have also won the theme two weeks in
a row!! Is there another theme team out there to take them down?
BIG SWINGING KICKS
Can you say 3 in a row? BSK can! Watch out for this crew because they are on a roll!! The kicks have
been big every time they swing lately. Is there anyone out there to stop the kicking? Time is running out!
RUBBER BUSTING GRASS KICKERS
They are heating up! Three wins total and two in a row. Are they a contender for the title this year? It
seems so!
BLACKOUT CITY
RBGK is meshing well and the wins are pouring in. If they keep playing like they are right now they are
well on their way to at least a 5 win season. Two great Toga’s made by one of the team captains almost
got them the TOGA queen win. Love the effort ladies! Keep it up!
WAKA IS A BUNCH OF PITCHES
Tough loss to a fire hot team right now. WIABOP will get theirs soon enough. They just got to hang tough
and play strong. The wins will come.
BALLZ DEEP
They won! They won! Ballz deep went Ballz Deep and takes home their first win. Where will they go from
here? More wins? A championship? It all starts with a win, the sky is the limit when you go Ballz Deep!
SAVED BY THE BALLS
Tough loss to the Wasians have SBTB in a two game slide. Can they grab a couple wins and get the train
back on the tracks? There are a few games left, will they be saved by the balls?
KICKHEADS
They won again? Just playing. BC played some lock down D and manufactured enough runs to come out
victorious. They did this all while being far from sober. Who would have thought that?
RAY CONFERENCE

Were the victors this week by forfeit. Some of the squad was out in Austin, TX earning second place in
the Lone Star Kickball Open. Congrats!! Check out Kickball365.com for more info on that tournament and

KICKTEASE
How was the trip? We missed ya last week!!
HOMEPLATE HUSTLERS
The Hustlers are on a two game slide and are hoping to come out of it this week with a win. Can they get
it done? They got a tough matchup against a refreshed Kick Tease. We’ll see if they can hustle out a win
and get going here soon.
RED BALLS & VODKA
Well the win streak is over. They fought hard and almost kept it going. Can they get another one going?
There is still time. It starts with one win! Let’s get it…
BLUE BALLERS
Well how does it feel? Winning? Blue Ballers got their first win this week and are hungry for more!
Whoever has them left on the schedule better watch out because they know what it tastes like and may
be beating you to get another one.
PITCHES BE CRAZY
Oh they Crazy and they were Jersey Shored up last week! Unfortunately they did not play their best
kickball and walked away with a loss. We know PBC will bring the pain soon enough, who knows they
may just wait till playoffs like they usually do.
I’M KICK JAMES PITCH
Ok one win down, many more to go. We know they were waiting till mid season to show their stuff. We
know what you all are up to! Can IKJP start a streak and finish the season strong? We’ll see….
BAD NEWS BREWS
Was that JWOW on the sidelines? I could have sworn there was a sighting! Tough loss for BNB but we
know they will get another win here soon. Good effort by team captain in the Theme contest. Where is the
rest of the team?
IT’S NOT GOING TO KICK ITSELF
Let the Balls fly deep and did not come out with the win. We know they will get one soon. They’ve gots
too! INGKI has got lots of talent, just needs to use it! Are they saving it for the playoffs? Don’t sleep on
them, they play hard till the end and won’t be rolling over! Watch out!

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT WAKA?
Through many friends. Phil Meide and Amanda Becker were
the first to invite me on their teams.
HOW MANY SEASONS HAVE YOU PLAYED?
WHAT TEAMS? ANY CHAMPIONSHIPS?
I’m on my fifth season. We have the same core group
of people every year, normally called Kick Tease unless
our Captain du Jour comes up with something witty. No
championships… yet.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR WAKA
EXPERIENCE THUS FAR?
It’s a lot of fun and competitive. I’ve met a lot of good friends,
and that’s the name of the game, right?
WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN
YOU GREW/GROW UP?
I wanted to be a pro baseball player, but couldn’t cut it at age
11 and switched to umpiring. That dream changed to MLB
General Manager (the guy who makes the trades), and I’m
not ruling that one out yet. I guess you can say at 26 I haven’t
grown up yet.
RELATIONSHIP STATUS?
Very single, always have been, hopefully won’t always be.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR OTHER HOBBIES
BESIDES KICKBALL?
I’m involved with ImpactJAX and do a lot of volunteering with
them. I’ll play other sports (volleyball, softball, golf) in various
leagues throughout town. Also, I’m a huge baseball nut if
that’s not clear already.
IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE
WORLD WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Honestly, my life has continually improved in Jacksonville
since I moved here. Why would I leave?

WANT IF YOU HAD A CHOICE?
Probably the ability to read minds. I have a hard time reading
people and think I can help people more if I truly knew what
they were thinking.

Being outdoorsy and getting drunk on patios, hunting, skeet

Europe- Spain or Italy. I don’t do cold weather.

Men’s Health and I’ve read ½ of the Hunger Games… its
taking me forever to finish because I can’t read it at night ( it
gives me nightmares).

To be able to fly because I’m scared to death of air planes

THEMES
BY WEEK
Playing kickball is not nearly as fun without themes!! That is
the reason why we provide the option for you to theme it up
if your little heart desires. We even go one step further and
make it a competition as well. We compete at the team level
where the team with the most theme wins, we also reward
individual creativity. The best costume wins!
So whether you are motivating your team or just yourself, get
on it! Winning team will receive 3 free pitchers of beer at the
sponsor bar after the game! Theme weeks will be on weeks
#3, 4, 5 and 6.
We’ll also award 1 pitcher to the “Theme King/Queen of the
Week” -- the individual most creative and dressed up!
