Section 4 g of Germany’s Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) describes the tasks of a data<br />
protection officer. According to Section 4 g of the BDSG in combination with Section 4 e of<br />
the BDSG, one of these tasks is that the data protection officer has to communicate the<br />
following facts to all persons in a suitable manner:<br />

4. The purpose of collecting, processing or using data<br />
The purpose of the Company is to manage a group of companies, which are active in<br />
the following areas in particular: Products and systems <strong>for</strong> the furniture and project<br />
business, in particular board materials, surface materials and flooring.<br />
For the achievement of the business goals of <strong>Pfleiderer</strong> <strong>AG</strong>, personal data is collected,<br />
processed and used solely in connection with specific purposes.<br />
5. Description of the group of persons affected and of the related data or data<br />
categories<br />
In general at <strong>Pfleiderer</strong> <strong>AG</strong>, personal data on the following groups of persons is<br />
collected, processed and used:<br />
• Data on employees <strong>for</strong> personnel administration, development, control, payroll<br />
management, and training, as well as data on applicants and retirees.<br />
• In the context of contract fulfilment (business processes), data on business<br />
associates such as customers, suppliers, service providers, and renters and<br />
lessees of real estate.<br />
• Address data on interested parties, press representatives and other persons<br />
connected with the company.
6. Recipients or categories of recipients who might receive the data<br />
• Public authorities in the case of legal provisions with prior-ranking importance.<br />
• External contractors pursuant to Section 11 of the BDSG.<br />
• External authorities and specialist departments within the company <strong>for</strong> the fulfilment<br />
of the business purposes stated under point 4.<br />
7. Compulsory deadlines <strong>for</strong> the deletion of personal data<br />
Legal requirements are observed in the deletion of personal data.<br />
8. Planned transfer of data to other countries<br />
No transfer of data to other countries is planned. If this were the case, then only in the<br />
context of the <strong>Pfleiderer</strong> Group.<br />
