MOTHER’S DAY DANCE – May 11<br />
Mark your calendar’s for the St. <strong>Stanislaus</strong> Mother’s Day Dance,<br />
sponsored by the St. <strong>Stanislaus</strong> Knights of Columbus. What a<br />
great way to celebrate this special day for mothers. The cost is<br />
just $20 per person. Entertainment will be provided by our very<br />
own Mark Raisch and the Mark Raisch Trio. For reservations<br />
call the parish office.<br />
GROCERY CARD FUNDRAISER<br />
For those who participate in this effort,<br />
you can see how easy it is and how<br />
much of a habit it can become to stop<br />
by after Mass and get your cards for<br />
the week. Many people do stop by the<br />
office during the weekdays to pick<br />
them up as well. Spread the word to<br />
fellow parishioners. The more who participate, the more St<br />
<strong>Stanislaus</strong> benefits<br />

UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME FOLK CHOIR<br />
On Friday, May 31 st at 7:00 p.m. the University of<br />
Notre Dame Folk Choir will present an Evening<br />
Of Sacred Music at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish<br />
1925 Route 82, Lagrangeville, NY. The concert will benefit the<br />
Children’s Foundation of Astor. Tickets are $25 for one person,<br />
$80 for four people. For more information,<br />

The rehearsal for the children receiving their First Communion<br />

CINNAMON BUN SUNDAY<br />
This Sunday, <strong>April</strong> <strong>21</strong> st the St. <strong>Stanislaus</strong> Knights of<br />
Columbus will be holding a Cinnamon Bun Sunday after all<br />
the Masses. Please join us for a cup of coffee and glass of<br />
juice and a delicious Cinnamon Bun. There is no cost but<br />
free will offerings are being accepted and all the donations<br />
are going towards sponsoring a seminarian for the<br />
Archdiocese of New York.<br />
CALLING ALL THE YOUTH OF ST. STANISLAUS<br />
This Sunday, <strong>April</strong> <strong>21</strong> st we will have sessions for all of our<br />
Youth Groups – The Lightning Youth Group, The Lightning<br />
Bolts and the PTAF Teen Club. We will meet from 12:15-<br />
1:45. Please plan on joining us for this wonderful day that<br />
will be filled with Fun, Fellowship and as always, Food!<br />

TEEN CLUB<br />
As noted above the next meeting will be this Sunday, <strong>April</strong><br />
<strong>21</strong> st at 12:15pm. Hope all of our youth in Grades 8-12 can<br />
join us.<br />
Last weekend 8 of our teen club members participated in a<br />
retreat called IMPACT – I Meet People And Christ<br />
Together! It was an amazing weekend at PTAF’s new<br />
retreat house, The Vincent Pallotti Center, in Monroe, New<br />
York.<br />
We should all be very proud of these young people. Kayla<br />
Andrews, Alexa West, Kayla Franzken, Sarah Franzken and<br />
Kiri Dolan were making the retreat for the first time and<br />
truly opened themselves up to the Holy Spirit - Deepening<br />
their Faith and making new friends. Jamie Stanton was a<br />
group facilitator and her leadership skills and strong<br />
knowledge of the faith showed throughout the retreat.<br />
Jamie witnessed to her love of life – all life- when she<br />
shared her story of attending the Annual Life March in<br />
Washington DC. Gianna Raffaele was co-leader and she<br />
was a wonderful example of what a catholic leader should<br />
be witnessing to her love of the Blessed Mother and sharing<br />
how important the Eucharist is to her. Carly Bulgia was the<br />
Youth Leader for the weekend and did a fantastic job of<br />
keeping the weekend moving, keeping the participants<br />
engaged and being a real messenger of Christ’s message.<br />
Her powerful talk about her commitment to our parish<br />
inspired others to become more involved. At the end of the<br />
weekend she challenged all present to continue to be strong<br />
and to rely on God.<br />
We as a parish are very blessed to have such faith filled<br />
young people. Please continue to pray for them and their<br />
enthusiasm for their church.<br />
A Note from Andrea Tighe:<br />
As you can see from the announcement above, St. <strong>Stanislaus</strong><br />
has a vibrant Teen Club. For many years young men and<br />
women have benefited from participating in activities here<br />
in the parish and at county and archdiocesan events and we<br />
as community have also benefited from the good works of<br />
these programs. As you might guess this work takes<br />
planning and help from many sources and can not be done<br />
by just one person. I do have the support and help from<br />
many of our parents and parents of alumni and I appreciate<br />
all that they do. However, I am in need of someone (or two)<br />
to assist me on a more regular basis. I am looking for<br />
people who could run a meeting or event if I can not be<br />
there. There have been times when we have not been able to<br />
hold a meeting or attend an event because my schedule<br />
would not allow me to be there. I will work with you and<br />
give you all you will need to be able to help. If you think<br />
you can help me with this vital ministry, please call me at<br />
