on the National Register of Historic

Foursquare to Craftsman and
Mechanics’ Cottages. The Downtown
Historic District shows our roots as a
“river town;” architectural styles range
from early “boomtown” structures to
Tudor Revival and Moderns, spanning
a period from 1880 to the mid-1950s.
The University of North Dakota Historic
District encompasses the central
campus and most of the sorority and
fraternity houses. UND has one of the
largest collections of Collegiate Gothic
architecture in the United States.
