Høylandet OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Dozens of marked hiking trails in the summer and one of the region’s best networks of ski trails in the winter. Reasonablypriced fishing of trout and Arctic Char, many fishing lakes and ice-fishing in the winter. The River Søråa, a tributary stream of the Namsen River, offers visitors good and intimate salmon fishing. Fishing permits and boat rental is available at petrol stations and campgrounds. Sales of traditional local foods and handicrafts are available in the summer.
