climb will consist of 110 flights of stairs
in order to commemorate the 110 flights
of stairs the emergency responders had
to climb on that tragic date. In a simple
explanation given by Lt. Parris. “We
climb because they climbed.” All donations
from this event will go toward the
National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
The City of Panama City Beach might
only be a small 27-mile stretch of shoreline,
but the commitment and enthusiasm
of the PCBFire Rescue Department
has expanded across the Southeast. Last
year, the event raised over $5,000 and had
climbers from Nebraska, Louisiana, Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Our community has seen a lot of change and
growth happen over the last ten years, and
the PCBFR Department has certainly kept
up and accomplished volumes together as
a team. Lt. Parris can only describe them
as his Second Family. “I live, eat, train and
work with them 24 hours at a time. I trust
them with my life, and they trust me with
theirs. Our relationship is a unique one that
most people do not understand.”
There can only be growth in store for
Chief Daly and his PCBFR Department.
With consistent philanthropic endeavors
and community appreciation, facing what
the future holds in store for The City of
Panama City Beach will serve as no easy
feat. The department is already developing
ways on how to be better and faster
in ways to serve our West and East ends
of the beach. As unpredictable as the future
is and no matter what it holds, there
is one thing our community can count on
to NEVER change…Panama City Beach
Fire Rescue will always “Provide you
with the highest level of protection available.”

STAIR CLIMB
Join us for fun, food, music &
fellowship while raising money
for a great cause
The Panama City Beach Fire Rescue is
hosting their annual 9-11 Memorial
Stair Climb, a charity fundraiser event
with all proceeds going to the National
Fallen Firefighters Foundation, on
September 8, 2012.
The stair climb will remember and
honor the lives of those lost on September
11, 2001. The climb will consist
of 110 flights of stairs (22 story building;
3x up and 2x down, or climb up all 5x)
to duplicate the 110 stories of the World
Trade Center Towers that Emergency
Responders climbed that day.

The climb will be during the afternoon;
dinner & reception awards ceremony
immediately following.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded for a variety
of categories. Professional pictures
will be available for everyone that
completes the climb. T-shirts will be
available to all participants. Door
prizes will be given away at the awards
ceremony.
Entry Fee
$25 per person
(NFFF is a 501 (c)3 charity; your
donation is tax deductible.)
