WELCOME NOTE
LIKE MANY OF YOU, I am a working mother, juggling what seems to be a million
things every day. We all know that, as mothers, our children come first in our list
of priorities - nothing is more important to us than their happiness and wellbeing.
Then there are our husbands or partners, family, friends, work, the house… the list is
seemingly endless, and it’s easy to push our own needs aside in order to make sure
everything else is taken care of. We women so easily get into a mind-set that tells us
that looking after our own needs is somehow selfish or trivial.
But over the years I’ve learned that it is essential for us to take care of ourselves
in order to take care of others. I think it was Billy Joel who said “...Do what’s good
for you, or you’re no good to anybody...” and I believe that to be true.
That’s probably the thing I love most about the work we do here at Esteem.
Everyday we help women look and feel the best they can, and send them back out
into the world refreshed and renewed, full of confidence, motivation and excitement.
The knowledge that we are making a real difference in our clients’ lives is what
drives me to ensure that Esteem is at the cutting-edge of our industry, bringing you
the most technologically advanced, effective products and procedures the world of
science and beauty has to offer.
Speaking of technological advancements… we have extremely exciting news for
you. If you are anything like me, there are areas of your body that are less then
perfect; some pesky areas of fat that you simply can’t shift, no matter what you
do. For me, it’s my tummy, a by-product of my pregnancies. Despite gruelling hours
at the gym and thousands of sit-ups and crunches (fun!), I just can’t get rid of my
tummy.
In my position, I get to see every new machine and product on the market, many
of them claiming to get rid of unwanted fat. We have researched and tested so many
of these so-called miracle cures that I have literally lost count. And, while some do
produce some results for some people, we have never used or endorsed any of them
because we have never found anything other than liposuction that is scientifically
proven and tested to eliminate fat cells – until now.
I am so excited to be the only clinic on the Gold Coast to introduce the UltraShape
machine – a completely non-invasive fat reduction and body contouring solution that
uses “non-thermal” focused ultrasound to break down those stubborn fat deposits
and give you a better, slimmer, body shape. I’m using it myself and I can tell you this
isn’t a fad ladies, it’s a fact, and the results will amaze you. Please have a look at our

Also this issue we bring you another exciting development – an injectable hydrator that
can be used in any area of the body – such as the hands and neck – to replenish tired and
dehydrated skin. We are having amazing results with this procedure in areas that we previously
couldn’t treat. Our feature story on this fabulous procedure is on page 68.
Speaking of fabulous, perhaps you have heard of Tristan, the self proclaimed “queen of
Esteem”? Tristan is a bit of an enigma, and only a select few have actually met the jet-setting
beauty guru, but keep your eyes –and ears – peeled for him, he is tellin’ it like it is, answering
all your questions (page 15) and making quite an impression here on the Gold Coast.
