Marie Essack
decided it was
time to look
after herself.
LIKE many of us, Marie Essack has spent most of her life happily taking care of
others. With five children, a husband and a busy career in clinical nursing, there
was little time for Marie to focus on herself. Not that she was complaining. “I
love being a mother, and taking care of my family,” Marie says. “And I have
always loved nursing, but once my children got to a more independent age, I
wanted to take some time to look after myself.
“I just didn’t look the way I wanted to. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a
person who was older than I felt, so I took some time to look into some of the
available treatments to improve my image and my self-esteem.”
Having worked as a clinical nurse in her homeland of Ireland, as well as
South Africa and Australia, Marie had the expertise and the knowledge to
