International Awards - <strong>Australian</strong> Authors and Illustrators<br />
Australia has produced a host of outstanding children’s book authors and illustrators. Many of these<br />
creators have been recognised through some of the most prestigious international children’s book<br />
awards. The following constitutes a list of many of the most predominant international awards for<br />
children’s literature and their <strong>Australian</strong> recipients - many of whom have been represented at our<br />
exhibitions in <strong>Bologna</strong> over the past couple of years. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but<br />
simply contains some of the highlights:<br />

The Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) is an <strong>Australian</strong> copyright management company whose role is<br />
to provide a bridge between creators and users of copyright material. It allocates funds to cultural<br />
development by supporting a wide variety of projects (including this one) which aim to encourage, and<br />
provide practical assistance to creators and the <strong>Australian</strong> cultural community generally. With a particular<br />
focus to support innovation in the <strong>Australian</strong> creative industries to develop local and foreign markets for<br />
