HEAD: Starting at front with Color A, ch 2.<br />
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join, but work in continuous rnds. Mark beg of rnds with a safety pin,<br />
moving it up each rnd.<br />
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc).<br />
Rnd 3: *Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around (18 sc).<br />
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around (6 inc made-24 sc).<br />
Rnds 5-11 Continue to inc 6 sc on each rnd, having 1 more sc between inc on each rnd (66 sc on Rnd 11). Please<br />
note: this is a fairly standard form to tell how to make the increases. It sets up the first few rounds, then tells you to<br />
continue increasing in the same way, adding that this means there will be one additional stitch between increases in<br />

FINISHING:<br />
(Note: For sewing, use only short lengths of chenille to prevent frayed yarn.) Sew muzzle to lower front of head as<br />
shown in photograph. Sew base of ears to top of head, cupping ears slightly. Sew eyes to head. For nose, embroider<br />
inverted triangle with satin stitches. Embroider mouth with straight stitches. Sew head securely to body. Stuff arms<br />
and legs; sew to bear as shown so bear is balanced in sitting position. Tie ribbon bow around neck.<br />
