Gender<br />
In <strong>Ahom</strong> language, there are only two genders - masculine <strong>and</strong> feminine. they are<br />
formed in the following way :<br />
1) By using separate words for male <strong>and</strong> female :<br />

Note : pU <strong>and</strong> ya are father & mother <strong>of</strong> the father.<br />
2) By affixing words meaning 'male' <strong>and</strong> 'female' to common words :<br />
