14.4 The wearing of bike pants is permissible provided that they are black and the appropriate conforming team uniform is worn over the top. 14.5 In order to preserve a reasonable balance between individual player comfort and safety to opposing players the following conditions shall apply: 14.5.1 Medical alert bracelets may be worn provided that a suitable padded sweatband covers them or otherwise padded and taped so as to fully cover the bracelet. 14.5.2 One flat ring (excluding engagement and dress rings) may be worn provided that each ring is suitably padded and taped so as to fully cover the ring. 14.5.3 Fingernails that have not been manicured to comply with the All Australian Netball Association Rules must be cut to comply with the rules, before being allowed to take court. 14.5.4 The use of gloves isn't allowed, except for medical reason's i.e. dermatitis and a legitimate doctors certificate must be supplied prior to the start of the game. Any player permitted to wear gloves, must still comply with the rules of Netball related to the length of fingernails. 14.5.5 All piercing must be removed prior to commencing a game or the player will not be allowed to take part in the game until it is removed. 14.5.6 For piercing which isn't obvious, the onus will be on the individual to remove any concealed piercing prior to the game. No responsibility will be taken by either ETSA Park Stadium, SAMNA or by any SAMNA officials for any injury resulting from playing with any concealed piercing. 14.5.7 If piercing isn't removable, a release form must be completed and lodge with the SAMNA secretary prior to taking court. Please Note: In each of the conditions listed above the player must have any protective padding and covering inspected by the match official. 15 Duration of Game: 15.1 All matches shall consist of four 15-minute quarters. Two minute break at quarter and three quarter time, with Five minutes at half time. Injury time 2 minutes. 15.2 In extra time period's team changes can only be made to injured players and substitutions will be at the discretion of the umpires. If one team makes a substitution through injury, the opposing team will be given the opportunity to also make changes.
16 Scoring: 16.1 Two points shall be awarded for a win. 16.2 In the event of a draw, 1 point will be awarded to each team through the minor round. 16.3 In the case of forfeits, 2 points shall be awarded to the opposing team 16.4 SAMNA Board will determine decisions in relation to the outcome of abandoned games. 17 Eligibility 17.1 A team is required to ensure that only the 12 registered players are used through the season and only those players who are present and ready to play in the match are written on the official scorecard. 17.2 Late arrival players who are ready to play may have their names included on the official scorecard. 17.4 Should it be discovered during the course of a match that the name of an on court player does not appear on the scorecard, this players name may be added without penalty. 17.5 A substitute player who is present and ready to play but does not actually participate in the match shall be considered as a legal player. 17.6 A player is not permitted to play in more than one game within the same program session, excluding participation in the Men's Division. (Premier league players cannot play for any social team during a Premier league season) 17.7 Any club that has two or more teams in the same grade shall not be permitted to interchange players from one team to another at any stage. At all times, the teams are classed as separate teams with no interchanging. Each team must nominate it's full team prior to the commencement of the first round. 17.8 To qualify for finals match selection a player must have played a minimum of four (4) minor round matches during the season for the team that is participating in the finals. 17.9 A player substituted shall be entitled to re-enter the game at any quarter time break, or any other break in the game, e.g. injury time.
