Each <strong>of</strong> the listed Acts uses the concept <strong>of</strong> cohabiting in a conjugal relationship<br />

<strong>of</strong> some permanence, usually for the purpose <strong>of</strong> defining common-law partners<br />

or defining family to include persons who are so cohabiting. Amendments will<br />

clarify that persons who have registered their common-law relationship under<br />

relationship <strong>of</strong> some permanence, regardless <strong>of</strong> how long they have cohabited. 55<br />
