If the situation is life-threatening, go to the nearest hospital<br />

emergency room.<br />

At the emergency room, tell them you are a <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong><br />

member and show them your ACCESS card.<br />

If You Are Away From Home<br />

If you have a behavioral health emergency when you are out of the<br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong> service area, go to the nearest emergency room.<br />

The hospital will call us. Just show them your <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong> card.<br />

You should not get a bill. Please call us right away at 1-800-553-7499<br />

if you do get a bill.<br />

If You Are Already Receiving Mental <strong>Health</strong> or Drug and Alcohol<br />

Services<br />

Tell your provider that you are a member of <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong>. He or<br />

she will call us. The person you have been seeing might not be part<br />

of our network. In this case, we will work with your provider or we will<br />

arrange for you to see someone who is part of our network.<br />

To find out if you can still see the health professional you are seeing,<br />
