nerds? Not true! Programming can be used <strong>to</strong> create art! Learn <strong>the</strong> basics <strong>of</strong> how<br />

<strong>to</strong> program & make cool animations at <strong>the</strong> same time.<br />

Develop your portfolio for placement in specialized high schools. Class is geared<br />

<strong>to</strong>ward specific portfolio requirements and includes extensive one-on one<br />

instruction. Bring an 18 X 24 charcoal pad.<br />

Beginner: Using drawing as <strong>the</strong> foundation for all art, work on projects that include:<br />

portraits, fashion, still life. Develop your observational drawing skills. Get a head start<br />

on <strong>the</strong> portfolio process!<br />

Intermediate: Utilize your newly learned experience and work on projects that<br />

include: portraits, fashion, still life, landscape, seascape, cityscape, basic one point<br />

perspective, and shading techniques. Streng<strong>the</strong>n your observational drawing skills. This<br />

class is a perfect segue for students who have taken <strong>the</strong> traditional Portfolio class (Fall<br />

2012 <strong>of</strong>fering)!<br />

Utilize <strong>the</strong> Game Maker s<strong>of</strong>tware and learn valuable skills in math, logic, critical thinking,<br />

problem solving and creativity <strong>to</strong> make one complete video game.<br />
