Programming for Artists: Introduction

Think “programming” sounds like just a job for computer whiz kids and geeks/
nerds? Not true! Programming can be used to create art! Learn the basics of how
to program & make cool animations at the same time.

Painting Around the World (grades 3-5)

Grow your talent as an artist and a painter while exploring the world through your
imagination. How steep are the city streets in San Francisco? Where does the Bengal
Tiger live? Or how about a picnic in Paris? Bring a "painting shirt" (that covers arms & body).

Empower yourself to make healthy lifestyle choices, manage peer pressures and
strengthen your knowledge for sports and education. Arm yourself with scientific facts
on nutrition, obesity and major illness prevention, through exercise and eating right.

Portfolio Development for Specialized HS Admissions (grades 6-8)
Angela Inguaggiato, B.A. in Fine Arts, the School of Visual Arts, NYS Teacher
Certification
Develop your portfolio for placement in specialized high schools. Class is geared
toward specific portfolio requirements and includes extensive one-on one
instruction. Bring an 18 X 24 charcoal pad.
Beginner: Using drawing as the foundation for all art, work on projects that include:
portraits, fashion, still life. Develop your observational drawing skills. Get a head start
on the portfolio process!
CLX-376 SA-B: 9-10:30am / $285
Intermediate: Utilize your newly learned experience and work on projects that
include: portraits, fashion, still life, landscape, seascape, cityscape, basic one point
perspective, and shading techniques. Strengthen your observational drawing skills. This
class is a perfect segue for students who have taken the traditional Portfolio class (Fall
2012 offering)!

Integrated Digital Media & Computer Science with concentration in 3D animation and gaming research
Are you a gamer? Want to learn how to make video games? We will provide the tools, the
skills and the enthusiasm for students to design and develop their very own video game.
Utilize the Game Maker software and learn valuable skills in math, logic, critical thinking,
problem solving and creativity to make one complete video game.
