Why you should have your teen take the Science test prep course?
Science is basically how the world around us works. People study science so that they can
understand the planet and the universe better. Some basic types of science are biology,
anatomy, psychology, chemistry, astronomy and physics. Things like cooking, transportation,
navigation, construction, physics, logical and critical thinking – it’s all part of science, too.
It’s not just about the test, it’s because without science we wouldn't have all the great
inventions that we have today. It’s all about STE@M TOO!
The New York State Science Exam Test Prep (grade 8)
Performance Test: between May 22 to May 31 & Written Section Test: June 3
Focus on living & physical environment, astronomy, geology, meteorology,
chemistry, physics.

Test: April 16, 17 & 18
The format includes short answer responses to questions based on reading passages.
Focus on test segments, essay responses to oral and written passages dealing with
listening comprehension and writing. Please purchase the latest edition of the Barron’s
ELA workbook prior to first day of class.

Mathematics Test (grades 6-8)
Test: April 23 & 24
Review and practice the required skills measured by the new exam, with emphasis on
problem solving. Please purchase the latest edition of the Barron’s MATH workbook
prior to first day of class.
