Program Coordinator: Rita Plush, MA, president, Rita Plush Interiors To earn the Certificate in Interior Design & Decorating, candidates must successfully complete a total of seven courses: four (4) required courses and three (3) electives. Students who do not wish to earn the certificate may take individual courses. The program has been redesigned with the Certificate requirement to take: • Four (4) Required classes • Three (3) Elective classes Each class will be offered only once a year in distinct semesters delineated below, with two (2) Required & one (1) Elective class each available in the Fall and Spring semester(s), and one (1) Elective class during the Summer semester. Mulea, BFA Construct final presentation boards essential for client projects and related applications, showing details and actual samples to be used, with recommendations for all aspects of the project. Energy Design for Home & Office Ileen Weiss Nelson, President and Feng Shui Master Teacher at Long Island Feng Shui Institute at the Planting Fields Arboretum Discover how the foundational principles of the Chinese art of placement can dramatically improve your life. Learn how to enhance your home and workplace to benefit and support changes in your health, wealth, career and relationships. We will use the 'bagua' energetic life map to shift your emotional and spiritual well being. Feng Shui meditation will also be taught to remove negative influences and build up your inner ch'i. As part of this mini workshop, we will view a movie of a Feng Shui consultation, to look at the spatial and aesthetic design of a room from this new perspective. Please bring a new, unused Chinese or American red envelope (easily obtained at Kinko's or Staples) with $1 inside to present to the instructor at the first session as a part of the time-honored tradition of Feng Shui. The training, required at many NYC construction projects, covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site. Topics covered include: Introduction to OSHA; Focus Four Hazards; Protective Equipment; Health Hazards in Construction. NOTE: OSHA course completion cards will be issued to all participants.
