to control the generation of single signal types and quickly pass from one to another.<br />
When the generator control toolbar is active the following buttons are available:<br />
SIN<br />
Generates the currently defined sinusoid. The default sinusoid is 1031.25Hz<br />
continuous.<br />
2SIN<br />
Generates the currently defined two tones signal. The default is1031.25Hz +<br />
2062.5Hz, 50% each.<br />
MLS<br />
Generates the currently defined MLS sequence. The default is a 16383 MLS<br />
sequence.<br />
WHITE<br />
Generates a white noise signal. It plays the white.sig file.<br />
PINK<br />
Generates a pink noise signal. It plays the pink13.sig file.<br />
FILE<br />
Generates the currently defined signal file. The default is the all4096.sig file.<br />
SET<br />
Enters the generator drop down menu to define the signals played by the various<br />
buttons. See 5.4.3 for details.<br />
+0.1dB<br />
Increases the output level by 0.1dB. Equivalent to SHIFT+F8 or SHIFT+ main<br />
toolbar button.<br />
+1dB<br />
Increases the output level by 1dB. Equivalent to F8 or the<br />
-1dB<br />
Decreases the output level by 1dB. Equivalent to F8 or the<br />
main toolbar button.<br />

Decreases the output level by 0.1dB. Equivalent to SHIFT+F8 or SHIFT+ main<br />

8.3.2 THE MINIMIZED STATE<br />
It is possible to operate the Multi-meter in what we call a 'minimized' state. Pressing<br />
the relative button the control panel collapses and, in its place, remains a stay-on-thetop<br />
display as in Fig.8.2.<br />
