departments conducted inspections at the following
restaurants from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.

• K&W Cafeteria, 1175 Glenway Drive, Statesville
– 93.5
Violations include: Employee worked with
torn glove; ice machine, salad display bowls,
knife, slicer and cabbage chopper needed
cleaning; proper cooling methods weren’t
used, such as cooling foods that were stacked
on top of one another; shelves where plates
and bowls are stored at serving line needed
cleaning; Styrofoam containers stored on
floor in the linen area; some salad display
bowls were in disrepair; speed racks in baker
area, bus cart in stock room, low shelves in
bakery area and refrigerator doors needed
cleaning; and floor and ceiling needed some
cleaning and repair.
