has brilliantly demonstrated (pp. 106-7), the names <strong>of</strong> the angels in the Greek archetype <strong>of</strong> C<br />

were arranged in four columns, starting from the third name; instead <strong>of</strong> reading and copying<br />

them from left to right and line by line, the scribe <strong>of</strong> C read and copied them from top to<br />

bottom and column by column:<br />
