• 3 SUBTYPES
– Predominantly inattentive type

• Diagnostic Features
– Persistent pattern of inattention and/ or hyperactivityimpulsivity
– Characteristics present before 7 years old
– Some impairment from the symptoms must be
evident in two settings
– Symptoms clearly interfere with functioning
– Symptoms not attributed to other conditions
