Ujęcie minimalistyczne Wprowadzenie Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie metody oceny czasownikowego charakteru konstrukcji peryfrastycznej o postaci czasownika „bēon” i imiesłowu czynnego czasu teraźniejszego w języku staroangielskim, na gruncie językoznawstwa historycznego i gramatyki generatywnej. Ocena charakteru wymienionej konstrukcji dotyczy jej zachowania składniowego. NaleŜy zaznaczyć Ŝe obecna prezentacja jest czysto teoretyczna w swoim załoŜeniu i nie powinna być traktowana jako rozwiązanie problemu przynaleŜności wspomnianej wyŜej konstrukcji do domeny czasów gramatycznych.
