West Cork Arts Centre invites artists who
are living and working in West Cork, to
participate in a group exhibition which is
an opportunity for the public - locals and
visitors alike – to get a sense of the visual
arts activity in the region.
Artists are invited to submit one original
small-scale artwork (less than 60cm) –
painting, drawing, photography, printwork,
sculpture - which has been made within
the past 12 months and which has not
been exhibited at WCAC previously.
This exhibition will therefore present
fresh 2D and 3D artworks from the many
established, long-term, emerging and
new artists who have made West Cork
their place of work or indeed their subject
matter.
As part of WCAC’s ongoing support for
artists’ professional development, WCAC
invites artists to attend an Exhibition
Information Workshop prior to the
submission date.
This workshop will be facilitated by artists
Paul Cialis and John Simpson, who will
assist and support artists who wish to
submit an artwork for the exhibition.
The workshop will cover the following:-
selecting work for exhibition; preparing
the artwork for exhibition; framing; pricing
and preparing written information for
the public – all elements which have to
be considered when preparing a group
exhibition and presenting work to the
public.
Artists are invited to bring work with them
that they are considering for submission
to the exhibition.
Fee €5 and booking is essential.
