Youth Arts Website Launch
The Youth Arts Advisory Committee
(YAAC) has launched its new website
www.yaac.ie for all those interested in
youth arts of any kind in the West Cork
area. Users can post listings of activities,
upload pictures of events or artwork and
get involved in discussions.
The website aims to support youth arts
projects throughout West Cork - music,
visual arts, drama, dance, film and literature.
Independent groups, individuals,
schools, youth groups and arts organisations
are all welcome to become part of
our online Youth Arts community.
If you want to generate some interest in
your youth drama performance, recruit
new members for a band,or plant the
seed of an idea that could grow into a
successful project, then this is the place
for you.
The website also provides an online
meeting place for the YAAC. New committee
members are needed for the
YAAC. Now that the YAAC operates
online, members from all areas of West
Cork can be accommodated as long as
they have access to a computer.
The YAAC acts as a steering group
for formulating the WCAC’s Youth Arts
Programme, is a forum for the development
of youth arts throughout West Cork,
a networking opportunity for groups and
individuals involved in the Youth Arts
sector and creates opportunities for the
dissemination and sharing of information
on Youth Arts projects and events.
