Salamander
A favourite with chefs, but so far largely

kitchens. The unusual name comes from
the ancient notion that a salamander can
survive the fiercest of heat.

caramelising food, making sauces or
simply keeping food warm, the salamander
uses a very strong, motor driven halogen
top heating element. In professional
kitchens it is an indispensable device, and
now with the CS 1421 S you can achieve
the same results at home.
The CS 1326 Y uses a hygienic brushed
stainless steel cooking plate for grilling,
roasting, stewing, steaming and flambéing.
The heat is easily regulated and direct
contact of the food with the hot plate
ensures rapid heat transfer. Because the
food cooks in its own juices little or no fat
is needed, making it not only quick and
easy to use, but also very healthy.
