The Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship for
Women in Science and Mathematics
Marymount University is one of 13 designated institutions in the Clare Boothe Luce
Scholarship Program, which promotes the advancement of women through higher
education in the sciences and mathematics.
Clare Boothe Luce Scholarships are awarded competitively and are based on a full review of
the applicant’s academic record, standardized test scores, career and education goals, and
the completed scholarship application.
Each Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship provides full financial support to the recipient,
covering tuition and on-campus room and board expenses.
Both high school seniors and transfer students are eligible to apply for Clare Boothe Luce
Scholarships. The following criteria are taken into consideration in selecting women for
this program:
• a record of strong academic performance
• admission for full-time study in one of the following degree programs at
Marymount University: .Biology, Information Technology (Computer Science
track), or Mathematics
• intent to pursue a career in teaching or research in mathematics or the sciences
• U.S. citizenship

Applications received by February 1 will be given priority consideration.
