January, Razzle Dazzle winner
Michealene’s motto is “the more glitter, the better!” She sprinkled Dazzling
Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter over Sticky Strip to create the sparkling line on her
contest-winning card.
February, Sew Faux winner
Debbie Olson
Norway, Michigan
World Tour set; French Script, Linen, and Paisley background stamps; Buckaroo Blue, Kraft,
and Very Vanilla card stock; Buckaroo Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Close to Cocoa Classic
Stampin’ Pads; Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa Stampin’ Write markers; White gel
pen; Neutrals Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Chocolate grosgrain ribbon; Aged Copper
Hodgepodge Hardware®; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Crafters’ Tool Kit; 1-3/8” Circle punch
To create the illusion of a shadow beneath her stamped travel labels, Debbie colored
close to the edge of her stamped image directly on her card stock using a Going Gray
Watercolor Wonder Crayon. Next, she dampened the card stock just outside the colored
line, moving inward toward the stamped image. When the water hit the Going Gray
crayon, she achieved a soft line that was darkest near the edge of her stamped image.
March, Thanking Mom winner
Amanda Miltimore
New Hartford, Connecticut
Everyday Flexible Phrases, Rough Edges Alphabets, Short Order Alphabet, and
Sweet Shapes sets; Blush Blossom, Bordering Blue, So Saffron, and Very Vanilla
card stock; Blush Blossom, Bordering Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, and
So Saffron Classic Stampin’ Pads; So Saffron Stampin’ Write marker; Celery and
Cream grosgrain ribbon; Soft Subtles brads; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Color
Spritzer Tool; 1/16” Circle punch; staples
Amanda likes to give her projects an extra pop by layering her pieces using
Stampin’ Dimensionals. She used them under the Blush Blossom card stock
and again under the Very Vanilla card stock. After stamping her images, she
used the Color Spritzer Tool to spritz a border around the stamped images.
