ADVERTISING REQUIREMENTS<br />

Foreword<br />

The Commonwealth's various <strong>municipal</strong> codes specify <strong>the</strong> content, <strong>the</strong> frequency and <strong>the</strong><br />

time frame of advertisements that are required, by law, prior to, or in some cases following,<br />

certain <strong>municipal</strong> actions. The person responsible for writing <strong>the</strong> advertisement, usually <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>municipal</strong> <strong>secretary</strong>, must ascertain that all required information is included. Additional data will<br />

need to be supplied when writing a purchasing advertisement. Specific instructions on writing<br />

purchasing advertisements can be found in <strong>the</strong> MUNICIPAL PURCHASING POLICIES AND<br />

PROCEDURES section.<br />
