<strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong> single boots, single skis,<br />

<strong>and</strong> bindings (at discount) . Head,<br />

N<strong>or</strong>dica, Rossignol, <strong>and</strong> others also<br />

have attractive merch<strong>and</strong>ising<br />

programs. Whichever manufacturer/designer<br />

is chosen, it is best to<br />

invest in quality equipment, particularly<br />

if one skis often.<br />

F<strong>or</strong> the three-track skier, a lightweight<br />

ski is undesirable as he <strong>or</strong><br />

she necessarily carries all body<br />

weight on one ski . A"Three 7iVok'<br />

er's Ski Tote" was developed to<br />

allow the skier <strong>with</strong> amputation to<br />

Ski Bras<br />

Ski bras are frequently used in<br />

four-track skiing <strong>and</strong> also <strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong> skiing<br />

<strong>with</strong> two skis <strong>and</strong> two poles. They<br />

hold the tips of two skis together<br />

<strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong> those who lack the leg power<br />

to do so . The bra consists of two<br />

metal devices that are affixed to<br />

t ~ tie of each ski. One part funo'<br />

bns as an eyelet, <strong>and</strong> the other<br />

part aau hook. The hook on one<br />

ski tip is latched to the eyelet on<br />

the other, thus connecting the skis<br />

(Fig . 52a) . Ski bras can also be<br />

h<strong>and</strong>crafted from bungie c<strong>or</strong>d<br />

(Fig. 52b).<br />
