Although none. of the Thai complained about<br />
the Chicago accommodations, at least one of them refused to stay<br />
at the dingy Statler Hilton in New York and moved to another hotel.<br />
Given the affluence of the Thai members of the Mission, in retrospect,<br />
it might have been better to have obtained better accommodations,<br />
especially because of the Compari3on with the plush accommodations<br />
that were probably made available in Japan.<br />
In Honolulu, the Royal<br />
Hawaiian Hotel ($17422) was selected and so far as is known, these<br />
accommodations were entirely satisfactory to the Thai visitors.<br />
HEALTH<br />
Except for a few minor ailm(,nt , the members of the team and<br />
their dependents enjoyed good health<br />
during the visit. Despite<br />
the time differential on arrival, they appeared fresh and alert<br />
